Team Johnson originates from a rider we have sponsored for many years Mick Walker # 11 Expert A group. A few years past before Mick Johnson and his daughter Carly-Jo Johnson started racing. We started getting more and more people in to the race scene, we now have a huge group of riders that are part of our team.

Race meetings with the YMSA are organised and well put together with help from all the officials, riders and parents the day runs smoothly. All riders need a member of their family or friend to take part in marshalling or help out with the various tasks around the track. The atmosphere at every meeting is great, it’s like one big family.

Usually the running orders of races are:

AUTO 65cc    (6-7yrs)

GEARED 65cc    (6-10yrs)

SMALL WHEEL 85-150F   (9-12yrs)

BIG WHEEL 85-150F   (11-15yrs)

EXPERT A’s 125-250F (17yrs +)

EXPERT B’s 125-250F (17yrs +)

SCHOOL PERSON’S 125-250F (14-16yrs)

 

Each group gets two laps practice before the racing takes place and then each group get three races. At the end of every race meeting there is a presentation were top 10 qualifying riders get a trophy.
